Now You Can Maximize Bodyweight Exercises

By Dave Keal

I use to be just like everyone else. I'd go to the gym and lift weights. At first, seems like I made some good gains. But after a while, those gains were few and far between. And I like the feeling of making progress, it keeps me motivated.

Then, as if by chance, I found bodyweight exercises again. Bodyweight exercises, the exercises we did in phys-ed class that put a hurting on us. I felt it again, the feeling of making advances in my fitness routine again.

And thenI started doing exercises with very light weight, not iron pumping exercises, but exercises that challenged me in ways like no other. And sometimes I only used as little as five pounds. I guess you could also classify these as bodyweight exercises.

I began to cycle more and more exercises through my regimen. I even got some kettlebells and a stability ball, which helped keep my ever increasing interest in exercising. You can't believe how many different workouts I have now, no reason to ever be bored again. What's worse than dragging your butt into the gym?

I hit my workout area with energy when it's time to work out. Just a sampling of some of the exercises I might do in my workout is:

1.Hindu pushups

2. Dive bomber pushups

3. Side bends on the stability ball

4. Military press on balance disks

5. Pushups, feet on stability ball, hands on balance disks

I have literally hundreds of exercises in my arsenal that I can do. There's no wonder that I'm feeling great and in the best shape of my life. When you add variety back to your workouts, you go a long way in making a commitment to yourself to get in great shape again.

Most of the resources I've found on my way back to being in tip-top shape, I've found right on the Internet. I didn't spend big bucks like those fitness commercials, just a book here and a book there, and before you knew it I had all kinds of exercises.

Whenever I feel like I need to start sprucing up my routine again, I usually pick up another nugget of a book on the internet. Just like that, I usually have about 50 more exercises to add to my routine, literally for practically not cost.

Give me a workout room, a stability ball, my kettlebells and my jump rope and I've got all I need but a butt-kicking workout. - 16650
