Green tea and weight loss! It works

Many people are now turning to inexpensive and natural green tea weight loss plans to help them in their weight control efforts. It is simple too. Green tea can be drunk like any other tea, usually without milk or sweeteners, or if you do not like the taste you can purchase green tea extract.

Research has shown that green tea helps to reduce weight by stimulating the body's thermogenesis process, which increases the expenditure of energy and the oxidization of fat in the body. Many compounds found in plants have this effect. The special thing about green tea is that it does not increase the heart rate, and is therefore believed to be safer than diet pills such as ephidrine that also work by stimulating thermogenesis.

Green tea does not put pressure on the heart so is very safe for many of the overweight people who have or at the risk of developing hypertension and other cardiovascular problems. If you are in this unsafe group then using diet pills, especially those that contain ephedra are not an option. Drinking green tea and exercising at a moderate level will trim your waist line. There are many ways to lose weight. The only real way to lose weight is by consuming less calories and by exercising more. With the use of green tea along with a sensible eating plan and exercise one can increase there energy output by aproximately 4%. It is said that catechin found in green tea is the factor that increases this energy output.

The powerful antioxidants contained in green tea have found to be very beneficial to your health. This includes improving the immune system, by stengthening it, it allows your body to protect itself against disease processes.

Keep in mind that green tea does contain caffeine so you should cut out coffee and other forms of tea while you are taking it. Decaffeinated green tea is not recommended because the chemical processes that are used to remove the caffeine may destroy the beneficial properties of the plant.

If you choose to use green tea to assist in weightloss keep in mind you will need to watch what you consume. You will not be able to eat more to allow for the calories burnt off by green tea, or you won't lose weight. By taking in less calorie along with the benefits of green tea in speeding up metabolism you will also feel more energy and over time lose weight. To speed up the weightloss by even taking in fewer calories and exercising weight loss can also be quicker.

Green tea is a simple, easy and inexpensive weight control aid that can easily be incorporated into any weight loss program. The choice of tea or extract offers something for everybody.
